Choose How You Pay

Bottom Line is: It costs to keep the wheels turning.
If you want an army, pay for it.
If you want an environmental department, pay for it.
The choices are astounding. It would be our government because we would have a say in how our money is spent.
Of our taxes, let's say 50% goes to the regular fund and the other 50% gets distributed exactly how you decide like

  • Some people may want give
    • 10% to education
    • 20% to military
    • 10% to health
    • 10% to police
    which comes to 50%

  • others may get more detailed with more choices
    • 8% education
    • 6% social aid
    • 6% transportation
    • 5% health
    • 5% highways
    • 5% military
    • 5% drug rehab
    • 4% police
    • 2% environment
    • 1%foreign aid
    • 1% aids research
    • 1% art funding
    • 1% prisons
    which comes to 50%

  • and some people may want to give
    • 25% military
    • 25% police
    which comes to 50%

Congratulations you have just done your part as a citizen and voted with your taxes. How ever you are, what ever you want. Put your money where your vote is. The more taxes you pay the more you have to say, capitalism and democracy can mix.

We are not voting on issues directly, we are voting for what we think our priorities should be.With citizens organizing, government officials would have to acknowledge their employers who divy out the budget once a year.

It would create more participation in government. More people would study government. Imagine tax clubs with a focus on government. Taxes can be fun and exciting; people could almost look foward to April 15th.

Ideologies are tools, Ideologists are fools
Under Republicans, People Exploit People
Under Democrats, It's just the opposite, People Exploit People
Libertarians aren't much different.

If we are getting "Libtards", "Conservatwits", and "Liberdumberers" pissed off, we are probably on course. ;-)
